1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of V³ News (the "Service"), provided by 0Flips Innovations Inc. ("0Flips," "the company," "we," "us," or "our"). V³ News is a service offering of 0Flips Innovations Inc., a Canadian federal corporation with its registered office in the Province of Nova Scotia.
By creating an account, signing in, or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Who can use V³ News
You may use the Service only if:
- You are at least 16 years of age (or older if your jurisdiction requires a higher age of digital consent).
- You can form a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction.
- You are not barred from using the Service under applicable laws (e.g., trade sanctions, export controls).
- For paid subscriptions, you are at least the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction (typically 18) and have authority to enter into payment commitments.
If you are using V³ News on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" in these Terms includes that organization.
3. The Service
3.1. What V³ News provides
V³ News is a calmer, more structured way to read the news. The Service organizes global events across twelve categories, presents multiple perspectives where sources differ, and offers structured briefs, map-based exploration, and related editorial content. Content is produced by a combination of news sourcing pipelines, large language models, and editorial processes operated by 0Flips.
3.2. Domains and platforms
The Service is accessible at:
- v3.news (canonical)
- velox.news, versutus.news, vigilans.news (branded aliases that currently redirect to v3.news)
- Native mobile applications for iOS and Android (when published)
These Terms apply uniformly across all access points.
3.3. Tiers
V³ News offers tiered access:
- Free: public dashboard, event feed (first page), latest global brief
- Standard: adds country/category briefs, personal perspectives, additional analytical surfaces
- Pro: adds full archive access, advanced analytics, Field Notes investigations, additional API surfaces
Specific feature availability per tier may change as the product evolves. We will not silently remove features from a tier you are currently paying for. Material reductions to your tier's capabilities will be announced in advance with the option to cancel.
4. Your account
4.1. Creating an account
Account creation and authentication are handled by Clerk (clerk.com). You are responsible for providing accurate information and for maintaining the security of your credentials. Notify us immediately at trust@v3.news if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4.2. One account per person
You may not create or maintain multiple accounts to circumvent rate limits, free-tier caps, or other product constraints. Organizations needing multiple seats should contact sales@v3.news.
4.3. Account termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting trust@v3.news. We will delete or anonymize your data per our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially violate these Terms, if your account is being used for fraud or abuse, or if we are required to do so by law. Except in cases of clear abuse, we will give you notice and an opportunity to cure where reasonable.
5. Subscriptions and payments
5.1. Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe (stripe.com). By subscribing, you authorize 0Flips to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis for the subscription you have selected, until cancelled.
5.2. Renewals and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current price for your plan. You can cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial periods unless required by law in your jurisdiction.
5.3. Price changes
We may change subscription prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change takes effect, and you will have the opportunity to cancel before being charged at the new price.
5.4. Taxes
Prices displayed are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any sales tax, VAT, GST, or other taxes that apply to your subscription in your jurisdiction.
5.5. Refunds
Outside of statutory rights in your jurisdiction (e.g., EU consumer rights to withdrawal), subscription fees are non-refundable. We may provide discretionary refunds in cases of service disruption or billing error.
6. License to use the Service
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, 0Flips grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own personal or internal business use.
This license does not grant you the right to:
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its content beyond your own use
- Republish substantial portions of the editorial content (briefs, syntheses, Field Notes investigations) elsewhere without attribution and prior written consent
- Use the Service or its content to train third-party models or build a competing service
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape or automate access to the Service except via official APIs we provide (and only within those APIs' rate limits and terms of use)
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service except as permitted by applicable law
- Bypass authentication, paywalls, or access controls intended to gate features
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes, including but not limited to harassment, defamation, infringement of intellectual property, or facilitation of illegal activity
- Interfere with the operation of the Service or attempt to overwhelm our infrastructure (denial-of-service, etc.)
- Probe for security vulnerabilities without prior written permission. Responsible disclosure: trust@v3.news.
We may take action in response to violations of this section, including warning, suspension, or account termination.
8. Content and editorial disclaimers
8.1. Editorial integrity, not professional advice
V³ News produces editorial content across a range of topics, including geopolitical, financial, and economic events. The content is not legal, financial, investment, tax, medical, or other professional advice. You should not act on V³ News content alone for any decision that has material consequences. Consult appropriately qualified professionals before making decisions in those domains.
8.2. AI-generated content
Large portions of V³ News content (including event summaries, balanced syntheses, perspective framings, Field Notes investigations, and briefs) are generated or substantially assisted by large language models. We design our editorial pipeline to encourage accuracy, attribution, and source-citation, but we cannot guarantee that any specific statement is free from error, omission, or bias. Where possible, V³ News surfaces the sources on which its analysis is based; we encourage you to verify material claims before acting on them.
We mark AI-generated content as such where doing so improves user comprehension; some surfaces (e.g., the Field Notes register) are labeled distinctly to communicate their editorial provenance.
8.3. Third-party sources
V³ News content cites and links to third-party news sources, analyses, and official statements. We do not control the content of third-party sources and are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, or terms of use. Links to third-party sites are provided for your convenience and do not constitute endorsement.
8.4. Real-time information
Information on V³ News may be incomplete or outdated at the moment you read it. Events evolve; sources update. We strive for currency but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy for any given fact or event.
9. Intellectual property
9.1. V³ News content and brand
The Service, including its software, design, editorial content, brand assets (V³, Velox, Versutus, Vigilans wordmarks), and trade dress, is owned by 0Flips Innovations Inc. or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service.
9.2. Quotation and citation
You may quote brief excerpts of V³ News editorial content for non-commercial purposes such as commentary, criticism, news reporting, or research, provided you attribute the source as "V³ News" and provide a link to the original content where possible.
9.3. Your account data
You retain ownership of any information you provide to the Service about yourself (perspectives, follows, etc.). By using the Service, you grant 0Flips a limited license to use this information solely to provide and improve the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
9.4. Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant 0Flips a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use that feedback to improve the Service, without any compensation or attribution obligation. (You retain the right to use your own feedback elsewhere.)
10. Termination
10.1. By you
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account per Section 4.3.
10.2. By us
We may suspend or terminate your access for material violation of these Terms (Section 7), for non-payment of subscription fees (after reasonable notice), if required by law or court order, or if we discontinue the Service entirely.
If we terminate your paid subscription for reasons other than your breach, we will refund the prorated unused portion of your subscription period.
10.3. Discontinuation of the Service
We hope V³ News will be available for a long time. If we decide to discontinue the Service or a material feature of it, we will give paying subscribers at least 60 days' notice and an opportunity to export their data and obtain prorated refunds.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF CONTENT, EXCEPT AS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties; in those jurisdictions, the above exclusions apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, 0FLIPS INNOVATIONS INC., ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL) ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID 0FLIPS IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as liability for gross negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct).
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 0Flips Innovations Inc., its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your violation of any law or third-party right in your use of the Service, or (c) your use of the Service in a manner not authorized by these Terms.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and you submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If you are a consumer resident in a jurisdiction whose laws grant you the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your domicile, this section does not limit that right.
15. Dispute resolution
Before initiating formal legal proceedings, we ask that you first contact us at trust@v3.news to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will respond to your inquiry within 30 days and make a good-faith effort to resolve it.
If informal resolution fails, disputes proceed under the governing law and venue described in Section 14.
We do not require binding arbitration in V1 of these Terms. If we add arbitration in the future, existing users will be given the opportunity to opt out.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and through an in-product notice at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those updates. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may stop using the Service and delete your account per Section 4.3 before the effective date.
Non-material changes (typo corrections, clarifications that do not expand our rights or reduce yours) may take effect immediately upon posting.
We will keep historical versions of these Terms available at
https://v3.news/terms/history (forthcoming) so you can see exactly
what has changed.

17.2. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision.
