Srpska Lista urges KFOR and EULEX to preserve order in Kosovo before Hague verdict
Published · Updated
What happened
Srpska Lista said on September 14 that KFOR and EULEX should take all necessary measures to preserve peace and stability in Kosovo before the September 16 Hague verdict, and reported that a KLA flag had been raised on the municipal building in Lipljan.
Why it matters
The statement places international security missions into the public record as responsible actors ahead of a known flashpoint and creates a benchmark against which any incident in Serb-majority areas may be judged in the next 24-72 hours. It also links a local symbolic act in Lipljan to a broader security narrative around Kosovo governance and public order.
On September 14, Srpska Lista called on KFOR and EULEX to take measures to preserve peace and stability in Kosovo ahead of the September 16 Hague verdict, and said a KLA flag had been placed on the municipal building in Lipljan. The move is a discrete political-security signal because it publicly shifts responsibility to international missions just before a legally and symbolically sensitive date. For Belgrade, the development adds to a near-term narrative and messaging contest around Serbian community security, Kosovo institutional conduct, and the role of external guarantors.
